2022 off to a flier with two new hires

After moving to new premises at The Chocolate Factory and the development of new technologies to showcase there, 2022 is seeing significant growth in the business, which has allowed Scenariio to strengthen their team with two new recruits.

Chris Jones has joined as a senior project manager, to support existing customers, whilst Oli Cambray joins as a technical support apprentice.

Chris brings a wealth of knowledge and experience following 30 years experience in the data cabling industry. Having started as an engineer, Chris made the move into project management in 2003 and has since worked with a number of leading corporate clients. Already well known to Scenariio, he will have responsibility for working on some of the biggest customer infrastructure accounts.

Chris said, “I am delighted to have joined Scenariio. Having worked in large companies for much of my career, I am excited to join an agile business with a family feel and great work ethic which really appealed to me.

The smart building technology offered by Scenariio has incredible potential to transform how businesses use their buildings and I am excited to be part of delivering that going forward.”

Oli joins Scenariio as a technical support apprentice. Having already started his apprenticeship, delivered by EMA, he will complete the programme before looking to progress internally. Having moved to Derby for University in 2009, Oli went into Photography and has several years of experience as a freelance photographer. He then took his passion for technology a step further, returning to study by beginning an apprenticeship. Oli is already making a valuable contribution to the business by supporting the technical side of the business.

Oli said, “Joining Scenariio was a fantastic opportunity for me and I’m really excited to be part of an extremely innovative team. The technology Scenariio offers is high-quality, diverse, and impactful, and is suitable for various uses in the commercial property world.

I look forward to developing my knowledge and skills in the role as more and more businesses seek to use technology to improve their buildings by utilising Scenariio.”

Commenting on the appointments, managing director and owner Rob Pritchard said:

“2021 was a challenging year as we settled into our new home and battled the impact of COVID-19, however we felt, moving into 2022 that things have surged again, and it was an ideal opportunity to welcome Oli and Chris to the team.

We have known Chris for a long time and he has slotted seamlessly into the business, helping us to increase and manage project capacity. Oli has taken on a role that has been challenging to fill and define, and managed to make it his own. We look forward to supporting him through the rest of his apprenticeship and continuing to see what he brings to the business in the future.”
